The Rhine Aboard the AmaWaterways Fleet. 2 unusual journeys.

To travel the Rhine river is to touch the very heart of Germany. Beginning in the Middle Ages, every Holy Roman emperor saw to it that this mighty river would serve as the core of his empire. Many others have left their mark on the Rhine Valley—merchants and robber barons, kings and bishops.

Johann Goethe’s Rhine journey in 1774 gave birth to the Age of Romanticism. In the 19th century, Europeans and Americans on the Grand Tour sought out its fabled castles and towers and sipped its lovely wines.

Get familiar with an important European waterways. A cruise takes you to the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland.

Please note: AmaDante’s elevator does not access the Piano Deck or the Sun Deck.

On the Sun Deck, take a dip in a heated pool, enjoy the swim-up bar, take a lap around the track.

Meet friends old and new in the stunning Main Lounge, where nightly entertainment also takes place.

Other amenities on board? A fitness room and a fleet of onboard bicycles to use on your own or on a guided tour.

Socializing happens primarily in the Main Lounge on the Violin Deck. That’s also where evening entertainment gets underway.

Feel like a little pampering? Head to the hair salon, or schedule a massage. Stretch your muscles on a spin around the walking track, or do laps in the heated swimming pool on the Sun Deck. Looking for more activity? Work out in the fitness room, and use one of the onboard bicycles during shore excursions.

Please note:Elevator on these ships do not access the Sun Deck or the Piano Deck.

Meals are AmaWaterways’ signature regionally inspired cuisine served in the Main Restaurant and at the Chef’s Table.

Staterooms are equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation, including on-demand entertainment, free high-speed Internet access, and Wi-Fi. And should you treat yourself to a suite, you enjoy a larger sitting area and an expansive bathroom complete with a bathtub and separate shower, as well as a bed facing the river, so you can wake up and fall asleep to magnificent views.

Mouthwatering cuisine worthy of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is served from sunrise to sunset. There’s something symphonic about the flourish and style of the Chef’s Table specialty restaurant and the coordinated effort to serve each delicious course of the regionally inspired tasting menu.

Also on board: a hair salon, an inviting Sun Deck pool with a swim-up bar, a walking track, a fitness room, and a fleet of  bikes to keep you happy and healthy onshore during your cruise. The ship was built in 2016, and she carries 156 passengers and 51 crewmembers.

When it’s time to step out, choose a quiet respite in the inviting library, or head to the Main Lounge for cocktails and conversation. Both venues are designed with fabrics in rich reds that call to mind full-bodied Merlots. For a bit of whimsy, the Sun Deck boasts a giant chess set and a refreshing pool.
