About Our Private Jet.

We take to the skies in the grandest style, starting with our own Boeing 757. The entire plane has been reconfigured with 80 comfortable, two-by-two seats (normally there are 233 seats aboard). And it’s all ours.

We take along our very own seasoned chef, a top-flight English-speaking crew, and a physician. Anything that helps us concentrate on the splendid unknowns that lie ahead. Meals elegantly served (fine china, crystal, linen); superior wines, spirits, serious chocolates, gourmet snacks, fresh fruit—all there to satisfy your in-between cravings. Anytime.

To satisfy your hunger for knowledge, two expedition leaders are on hand for informational presentations, insights, and Q&A. They travel with us throughout the journey, sometimes conducting on-board lectures.

Knowledgeable local guides, town officials, and honored guests pepper the journey with intriguing insights.

Yet another perk you get traveling by private jet: the total absence of hassle. The old rules no longer apply.

Borders? What borders? Clear customs (your baggage, too) with the wave of a hand. Airport lines? Boarding passes? Tardy flight crews? Inflexible commercial air routes? Don’t know what you mean.

Security, on the other hand, meets the very strictest requirements.

     Plane, deplane. So elegantly simple.

Cusco, Peru: The climate of Cusco roughly falls into two rather distinctive periods—the dry season and the rest of the year, known as the wet season. With a noticeable absence of rainy weather, the dry season runs May to September. Between June and August, rainfall is virtually nonexistent. In general, the wet season is said to last from October to April, although October, November, and April are not excessively damp. Even in the height of the wet season, Cusco still enjoys plenty of fine weather and a favorable climate to match, with this being the hottest time of the year. If it does rain, it is quite likely to be a short, heavy shower, followed by sunshine. In fact, January and February can be quite sunny at times, when temperatures are known to average 82° Fahrenheit and regularly top 86°, and the nights are very warm.

Machu Picchu, Peru: This region of Peru is known for its wet and dry seasons, the latter falling between between May and September. These months are notable for their beautiful sunny weather, clear skies, and pleasant, mild climate. Due to the relatively high altitude of Machu Picchu, nights can feel decidedly cooler and at times, rather cold, with temperatures even approaching freezing on occasion.

Easter Island, Chile: Easter Island has a semitropical climate characterized by low daily and annual temperature fluctuations and rainfall throughout the year. The weather on the island is often windy. Temperatures are mild throughout the year with minimal seasonal variations. The average maximum temperature runs between 68° and 81° Fahrenheit in February and 68° in the winter months (June to September), while the average minimum temperatures vary from 68° in March to 59° from July-October.

Samoa: Samoa’s climate is tropical all year round, with two distinct seasons. The dry season runs from May to October, the wet season from November to April. The average daily temperature in Samoa is 82o, with the ocean temperature average in the mid to high 70s.

Great Barrier Reef, Australia: With loads of sunshine, warm seas, refreshing sea breezes and a warm climate all year round, Tropical North Queensland weather is hard to beat. The region has two distinct seasons; a winter period of warm temperatures and low rainfall, and a summer period of balmy temperatures and higher rainfall. Winter, or the dry season, begins in May and ends in October and boasts plenty of sunshine, fresh breezes, and low humidity. Summer, or the wet season, extends from November to April and refreshes the region with tropical downpours some afternoons and occasional dramatic rain storms. You can swim in the Great Barrier Reef all year round, but it is at its most splendid between April and October. Between November and March, the reef is home to the box jellyfish, so special swimming enclosures are erected at most beaches to protect swimmers. Sea water temperatures range from 73-84° Fahrenheit in February.

Angkor, Cambodia: Angkor (and neighboring Siem Reap) have a tropical wet and dry climate. The region  generally remains hot throughout the year, with average high temperatures never falling below 86° Fahrenheit in any month. Angkor has a relatively lengthy wet season which starts in April and ends in November. The dry season covers the remaining four months.

Agra, India: Agra experiences extreme temperatures in both summer and winter and moderate temperatures in other seasons. The best time to visit Agra is from October to March. Winters (November to March) are very cool and temperature can drop to as low as 36° Fahrenheit with sometimes soupy fog. Summers (April to June) are quite hot and dry, with temperatures during the day soaring as high as 118°. Monsoons (June to October) can be expected to arrive in Agra in July.

Serengeti Plain, Tanzania: The Serengeti Plain is usually warm and dry with average temperatures ranging between 59-77° Fahrenheit. The short rainy season arrives between November and January; the long rainy season lasts from March to May, during which there can be frequent heavy downpours, some continuing a half a day or more.

Marrakech, Morocco: Marrakech has fairly appealing weather throughout the year, with plenty of sunshine. The likelihood of rain increases during the winter months. Temperatures are at their lowest in January and February, averaging 64°, although by night, it can feel quite cold and a jacket will certainly be necessary. The summer in Marrakech is considerably warmer, with temperatures peaking at more than 86°. The thermometer sometimes creeps up to 99°.
