Meet Maya Kudo.

Our Japanese culture expert on this journey, Maya Kudo, has been a friend of Crusoe’s for years, and our travelers always rave about her.

A passionate world traveler, she has visited more than 50 countries and is a keen observer of people and their customs. She graduated with a linguistics degree from Tokyo’s Sophia University and also spent two years at school in Connecticut. A talented cook and enthusiastic foodie, Maya knows the ins and outs of the culinary scene in Tokyo and beyond, and she enjoys sharing her insider intelligence. She is also a longtime practitioner of sado, the traditional tea ceremony, and she’s a devoted student of architecture old and new.

Maya will add immeasurably to our journey through Japan, and we're delighted to have her aboard.
