Speaking of museums…

If you’re headed to England anytime soon, and if you love dogs (or history, or fashion, or the unusual), be sure to stop at Leeds Castle in Kent for a visit to the world’s only Dog Collar Museum.

Yes, the British love their canines. But the Dog Collar Museum, though diminutive in size, has a collection that reaches far beyond the U.K. and spans centuries. Take, for example, the medieval German collar made for a hunting dog. It was spiked to protect the dog’s neck from the vicious animals it pursued. Or the Renaissance collar elegantly carved with the pup’s name.
