Come join host Jean-Michel Cousteau as he leads you along the mighty Amazon in Peru and/or the historic Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam. We offer a total of five departures—one in 2017 and two in 2018 to the Mekong; and two in 2018 along the Amazon in Peru. We travel with Jean-Michel abopard the riverboat Aqua Mekong in Asia and the riverboat Aria Amazon in Peru. Both are members of the excellent Aqua Expeditions fleet.

Please note: On these journeys, R. Crusoe & Son partners with Aqua Expeditions, and Crusoe travelers share the Aqua Mekong and the Aria Amazon with other, non-Crusoe travelers.

About Our Riverboats.

R. Crusoe & Son partners with Aqua Expeditions on these unusual journeys hosted by Jean-Michel Cousteau. We use two comfortable riverboats: the Aqua Mekong in Asia, and ther Aria Amazon in Peru. Please note that on these journeys, R. Crusoe travelers share the riverboats with other, non-Crusoe travelers.

Aqua Mekong.

Built in 2014, this comfortable 205-foot riverboat carries a maximum of 40 passengers in 20 suites, and a crew of 40, including four English-speaking guides.

     Some suites have balconies. All suites are air-conditioned and have California king beds that can be converted into twin beds, floor-to-ceiling window, and en-suite bathrooms with two basins and a walk-in shower.

     Common areas on the Aqua Mekong include indoor and outdoor bars, indoor and outdoor dining rooms, a screening theater and outdoor cinema, a library/game room, an observation deck with sunbeds, a boutique, a lobby lounge, a gym, an infirmary with onboard medical staff, an outdoor plunge pool with private cabanas, and two spa treatment rooms.

     The ship carries 10 bicycles for passengers who wish to explore independently. It also holds four motorized skiffs for close-up exploration along the route.

 

Aria Amazon

Built in 2010, this comfortable 147-foot expedition riverboat carries a maximum of 32 passengers in 16 suites, and a crew of 27, including four English-speaking naturalists.

     All suites have panoramic windows facing outward. All suites are air-conditioned and have California king beds that can be converted into twin beds, a sitting area, and an en-suite bathrooms with a basin and shower.

     Common areas on the Aria Amazon include an indoor bar, a dining room, an outdoor lounge, an outdoor Jacuzzi, an exercise room, a massage room, an observation deck, and a boutique.

     The ship carries four motorized skiffs for close-up exploration along the route.
