ome R. Crusoe & Son travelers enjoy the comfort and convenience of covering the world in their own private jet. But for those of you without your own
set of wings, why not let Crusoe organize a pair for you?
India is the perfect place to do this. The country is enormous and jam - packed with incredibly interesting places and sites.
We’ve come up with a private jet journey that takes you to all the places we visit on our regular Crusoe India tour, but with less time spent getting to
each destination.
Concerned about the price tag involved in chartering a jet around India? If so, consider the
money you save using customized flights between locations: fewer hotels, fewer meals, and - perhaps most important - less of your valuable time. And remember
that since the two aircraft we offer (see the sidebar on this page for details) hold five and eight passengers, the cost of chartering is divided up
between all of you.
Do the math, and let’s talk.
Begin in Delhi (Old and New), India’s hub.
To Varanasi, India’s hub of Hinduism. Spend time on the sacred Ganges, and witness an ancient ceremony.
Khajuraho was once capital of the Chandela Dynasty. In a burst of creative energy, the Chandelas built quite a collection of temples. Ornamentation
on their facades is not something you’ll soon forget-gods, goddesses, warriors, and musicians in an assortment of erotic poses. Historians are still
trying to figure out their significance, as do we on a tour of the east and west temples.
Agra, next, home of the Taj Mahal. No photograph or description has quite measured up to the beauty of the place seen firsthand.
Ranthambore National Park is home of the royal Bengal tiger. On game drives, keep your eyes open. Our home base is the gorgeous and unforgettable
Vanyavilas, a lush jungle resort.
In Jaipur, have a look at Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, and Amber Palace. Make the acquaintance of ceramist Kirpal Singh in his home.
His claim to fame? He single-handedly revitalized the traditional fine art of blue pottery. And take some leisure time to enjoy the amenities at our
remarkable hotel, the Rajvilas.
Fly to Udaipur, home of the Mewar rulers, for a look at another City Palace (compare and contrast), several hand - picked museums, and the bustling
marketplace. If you’re interested, take on the marketplace with a guide and driver. Beyond the city limits, there are the Eklingji and Nagda temple
complexes. Outstanding, really.
Jodhpur is a cubist’s dream come true, with blue the predominant color. Meherangarh Fort occupies much of our time, but we also snoop around town a bit.
Then back to Delhi and home.
