This is a nine-day sample extension. Remember that R. Crusoe can create a Lhasa, Yarlung Valley, and Dunhuang journey of any length to meet your exact specifications.
R. Crusoe & Son has created unusual mini-journeys in China that you can mix and match. There are all sorts of ways to configure them. Take one or two (or all of them), and add them to Crusoe’s China. The Sleeping Giant is Wide Awake. Or put some or all of them together for a wonderfully unique experience in China.
If this is not your first journey to China, consider a visit to Lhasa, the Yarlung Valley, and Dunhuang, on the edge of the Gobi Desert. Begin in Chengdu, home of China's giant panda breeding center. From here, fly to Lhasa for a taste of Tibet's wonderful vibrancy. (The St. Regis has just opened up a lovely hotel here.) Then descend into picturesque Yarlung Valley. Finally, we head for Dunhaung, once an important oasis on the Silk Road and home to the Mogao Caves, filled with Buddhist treasures unlike any you've ever seen.
