Bulgaria: Nessebar, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and with good reason.
Ukraine: F.D.R., Churchill, and Stalin met in Yalta to divvy up Europe. Sixty-five years later, it's our turn to visit; Sevastopol, former home of the Russian Black Sea fleet made famous by Catherine the Great. Now it's a military base shared by the Ukranian and Russian navies. And interesting notion... Odessa, where we walk in the footsteps of Tatars, Lithuanians, Ottomans, Catherine the Great, and the Soviets. See Eisenstein's 1925 classic, "Battleship Potemkin," before coming here.
